Team LighT announces StarCraft 2 team
Duran 'Xeris' Parsi, former StarCraft 2 manager for FnaticMSI announced the rebirth of Team LighT. LighT was a former foreign Brood War team that managed to compete with the likes of Meet Your Makers (MYM), ToT and Mousesports. LighT's roster reunites Adrian 'KawaiiRice' Kwong with Xeris after their departures from FnaticMSI and the roster brings in the talents from KiwiClones such as Sung bin 'binski' Lee, Nam 'Heavens' Tram and Patrick 'Caliber' Coury.
In the announcement post on Team Liquid, Xeris said:
“My time in FnaticMSI taught me a lot about how a big professional team operates, and I wanted to combine my experience on the management side with my experiences as a competitive gamer. I have no illusions about the challenges that await but I am happy and have a great group of people around me who will hopefully get as much out of this journey as myself!
A few months ago I thought seriously about re-creating LighT and applying everything I’ve learned to build a strong team and give my players every opportunity to succeed and grow as individuals. I have no illusions about the challenges that await but I am happy and have a great group of people around me who will hopefully get as much out of this journey as myself!”
The team is currently participating in the latest season of the StarCraft 2 Open Division at ESEA. KawaiiRice will make his debut as a member of LighT eSports at Home Story Cup 4. The team is currently sponsored by Tt eSports and Sixpool Gaming.
