Assembly Winter player field finalized
With two weeks left until the ASUS Republic of Gamers-sponsored tournament, the organizers have announced the final batch of invited players that will make up the Assembly Winter 2012 field. The event now features 32 highly skilled players from around the world, all of whom have their eyes a piece of the $20,000 dollar prize pool. Although the event does clash with the MLG Winter Arena schedule, Assembly Winter still features a rich player list, which consists of 13 Protoss players, 11 Terran and only 7 Zergs.
Assembly Winter will once again take place in Finland, with match play scheduled to begin on February 24th. Commentators TotalBiscuit, Apollo of Team Dignitas, Mr. Bitter and Khaldor will team up to cast the tournament. A traditional group stage followed by single-elimination bracket format will be used. Prizes are awarded to the top four placing competitors.
