Week 2 of LCS started off with Dignitas vs Marn. Dignitas, who went 1 – 2 last week, was out for blood and ready to take the week away in their three upcoming games. They seemed unprepared in week 1 but this week they had something to prove. Marn however had a bye last week, giving them some time to watch the other teams play and take notes. Even though they had a whole extra week to prepare nothing could stop their nerves. Dignitas being the experienced team took out Marn easily, showing that Marn still needs some work.
Although Marn lost hard to Dignitas, ClakeyD’s brother, NickWu and his team had a much better game for their debut. They faced off against the dominating Team Curse in their first game. Curse was coming off of a three win hot streak, not losing one game yet in LCS. Complexity knew they had a tough game ahead of them but somehow they managed to shake off their jitters. They played astoundingly, winning in gold against Curse for most of the game until Curse turned it around in a few team fights. Complexity couldn’t handle Curse’s amazing teamwork and synergy. Curse took the game going 4 – 0 and giving the complexity a 0 – 1 start.
Not many surprises happened this week for the NA scene, except for Dignitas kicking TSM to the ground. Dignitas knew they needed to come out strong this week and they did. TSM didn’t even stand a chance. However, TSM won their other two games against Marn and Vulcan pretty easily, making the split between the top 4 teams and the bottom 4 teams ever so larger. GGU vs Vulcan finished week 2 for NA. Vulcan was in the drivers seat for most of the game. However, a few small teamfights late in the game allowed GGU to push slightly ahead and eventually finish out the game. The week ended with Curse staying undefeated going 5 – 0, and TSM and Dignitas tied for second both with a score of 4 – 2.
