Season 3′s beginning featured some of the most anticipated matches with many of the top teams from last year’s Regionals facing off again. Among the featured matches this week were TSM vs CLG, Curse vs Dignitas, and Curse vs CLG.
CLG also defeated long-time rival TSM soundly in the opening game of the season utilizing Urgot and Syndra with brutal results in teamfights. Both teams went on to end the weekend in good standings.
However, the action was dominated by amazing play by Curse, who went undefeated this week, including knocking off CLG after they knocked Curse out of the Season 2 World Championships. Curse’s biggest test, surprisingly, was against GGU. Curse had to fight from behind against some old school Twitch + Kayle combo that was executed fantastically by GGU.
Game to watch: The most exciting match to watch was definitely GGU vs Curse, which came down to the wire and was only won in the last team fight of the game.
