Only a few months after their re-establishment, Quantic Gaming has attained a League of Legends team Cloud 9.
This isn’t the first time Quantic has fielded a League of Legends division. Quantic picked up the former members of Orbit gaming back in November of 2012. Nientonsoh, Hai, LemonNation, WildTurtle, and Yazuki’s time with Quantic would be cut short, when the organization announced it would be disbanding in December. Since the company’s reformation in February, they have brought back a fresh CS:GO, StarCraft 2, Call of Duty and now League of Legends team.
The new members of Quantic Gaming’s League of Legends division are Hai, LemonNation, Balls and Meteos, with the AD carry role yet to be determined. Bernie “Fujikura” Catalan, COO of Quantic Gaming, said the following about the team’s acquisition: “I’ve been talking to Hai at Cloud 9 now for the better part of a month. I got a chance to meet up with them at MLG and Hai is really smart, too smart maybe! They are very professional and participated in an interview at my request, without being my players at the time. I really felt a positive vibe from them then. As the COO of Quantic I will strive to provide them the best opportunities for success.”
The team captain Hai “Hai” Lam stated, “They offered me kittens as payment, how can I say no to that? Also I don’t have to name change haha, anyway looking forward to working with Quantic again as we mesh pretty well! It’ll be cool too because we get to move into a house and bootcamp before the LCS and hope for the best! Stay tuned for our new ADC.”
