Mortal Kombat 9 at MLG Winter Championship
A tweet made by Major League Gaming's Adam Apicella confirmed the inclusion of Mortal Kombat 9 in at least the Winter Championship in late March (23-25). MLG hosted a $7,000 MK9 side tournament at the Raleigh, North Carolina event in 2011.

Apicella promptly followed up the tweet with another one stating that "not everything is announced yet" and that they are working to bring more fighting games to the circuit.
Sundance DiGiovanni tweeted Wednesday that announcements regarding the fate of Halo and Call of Duty on this year's circuit would be delayed until the end of the week as they wait for word from partners.
