Ex-Moscow 5 Dota 2 squad move to Darer
Recently announced on Darer.com, the ex-Moscow 5 team has been acquired by Darer. Not entirely made up of the original players such as Vigoss, G and even PGG; the new Darer team comes forth with some of their old best: NS and Dread and some newer talents such as God (once from Garaj), Santa and the controversial player: Artstyle.
We've been thinking of creating a team for quite some time now and finally, it is a fact. We are really happy to have such good players on our side, and we believe that this team has a very good future. As much as I wish to give you more information about this, you will have to wait till our new site is ready. Right now I can only tell you that our guys are training hard and you will see them in action soon.
Artstyle's history with the DotA community and professional scene is still freshly heated. In a recent interview with V1lat on joinDOTA.com, they dissect Artstyle's questionable business maneuvers that major teams such as Na'Vi and M5 label as "unprofessional". Artstyle, replied with a no-frills, "honest" interview stating that during negotiations with M5 and competing organization, Darer, things got out-of-hand very quickly. While Darer were clear with their negotiations, M5 were flip-flopping on numbers (in terms of winning percentages and salaries) until they publicly decided to boycot Ivan Antonov.
This interview was sparked by Na'Vi's team manager's outspoken views on Artstyle, titling him as someone "incompetent in relation to cyber organizations" and citing examples of when Ivan intentionally avoids answering communications or attending obligations set by the team (such as photosessions in Kiev, Ukraine). A resounding agreement comes from DTS' team manager Maxim Dyakonyuk where he allegedly claims that Artstyle avoided discussions with his organization intentionally, but "completely froze" according to DTS statement on joinDOTA.com.
Darer Dota 2 are aware of what they're getting themselves into. They know of the varying sentiments and comments on their recent issues. Ultimately, Artstyle and company hope to deliver:
I read the news on joinDOTA and I also read all the comments. And what I understand is that the community doesn't like such things. When the boycott was first announced, there were people who supported the teams and people who got very disappointed. After that when I read Artstyle's interview, I saw the exact same thing, the community doesn't like this. All the people care about is to watch good games and see their favorite players. So I suggest we give it to them. Just forget about these problems and show some good entertainment to the fans. Conflicts are not good for anyone. All of us should support eSports in any way they can. Going against each other will not help anyone. This is how we think this should be settled. I hope the other teams will agree.
