CS:GO beta to grow player base next week
Just this past week, the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive beta underwent a significant update, adding a slew of new features and gameplay fixes and changes. Many of the complaints that were posed by the beta testers in the first phase of beta have now been corrected. The changes brought much needed variety that beta testers have been clamoring for for a while now.
A micro update on Friday was released, which further changed the way recoil works in the game, and changed the default match-making map to de_inferno.
The developers reassured the testing community that they will continue to make adjustments based on the comments that they receive from beta testers:
In today’s update, we have adjusted it again. Nothing is final in the Beta. We will keep making changes and adjustments based on player and pro feedback; so let us know what you think about today’s change.
However, the expansion of the player base and game changes are just the beginning of the move to entirely roll out what they had promised before, stating the following:
For the next stage, this Tuesday, we are sending out over 2,000 additional keys to select Counter-Strike sites around the world. Make sure to look for the contests and giveaways.
