Gamefy, organizer’s of the G-League, announced today that the G-League grand finals will be held on March 9th, 2013 at the Mercedes Benz Center in Shanghai, China. The announcement was made through Gamefy’s Weibo (China’s version of Twitter) and also detailed plans to have celebrities and VIPs at the event.

The G-League grand finals will feature LGD International vs. Invictus Gaming in the G-League’s first finals since switching from DotA to Dota 2. LGD.int, a relatively new team, had a strong showing in their first LAN event despite being underdogs. They were able to escape the “group of death” and beat strong Chinese teams in For.Love, TongFu and LGD on the way to the finals. The other team in the finals, iG, accomplished what most people expected them to, dominating both their group and playoff game. iG went 9-0 while taking out teams like TongFu, MUFC, and LGD on their path to the finals.
The G-League Grand Finals will be broadcasted in English on BeyondTheSummit’s stream and Tobi Wan’s stream. Alternatively, the Chinese broadcast will be on Gamefy’s Twitch.tv channel.
