Fnatic has announced the addition of two new players to their Academy team, despite the loss of several star players in 2012.
Two European amateurs, Protoss player Alexander ‘Pink’ Cvitanich Haugsted (18) and Zerg player Anton ‘Zanster’ Dahlström (16) were added to Fnatic’s Academy team after debuting against 3D!Clan in the Cascade Team League earlier Tuesday afternoon. Both of these players are relative unknowns on the world scene, but have some notoriety on the Scandinavian scene.
The two released comments in the press release from Fnatic. Below, we’ve highlighted some from each.
Pink: I see Fnatic as an opportunity for me to showcase my play for an international audience.
Zanster: In the upcoming months I really want to show that I am worthy of being a part of Fnatic and I will do my absolute best in individual and team leagues!
Fnatic also revealed that this is not the end of the changes for their StarCraft II division, revealing only that further announcements will be made in the coming months.
