The rate that organizations have been picking up Dota 2 teams hasn't been slowed by the new year, as Western Wolves' latest acquisition brings us the third sponsorship of 2012. Western Wolves have decided to take in the all-French squad, Team Shakira (formerly Virus), into their ranks. Shakira have been performing well recently, enjoying a 4-1 record in The Defense Group Stage 1 as well as their fourth place finish at DreamHack Winter 2011.

Captain Merloz 'Sockshka' Titouan said this in an interview by Western Wolves:

It is an honor for us to represent WesternWolves and we are looking forward for this upcomming challenge. It is a great organisation and we really feel that with this solid support we will be able to prove ourselves and to play at our best level. We are really excited to be part of our new home. To be honest we have been waiting this for a long time, and that was the only thing we missed. Our team managed to go out our hard group in the defense with a good 4-1. You will able to see us this week end with our new tag for jeesports tournament and Dota 2 Brawl qualifiers!
