Nirvana.CN's Seaking spotlighted by Razer

Team Razer has posted another player interview, and this time the spotlight is on Chinese Dota player Yang "Seaking" Tao. In the interview, Seaking talks about everything from his early interest in video games and programming to his recent successes with the Chinese-based team Nirvana.

Seaking's 2011 was no small feat. Boasting  a second place finish at SMM 2011, fourth at the World Dota Championship, and a first place in the WCG China Wuhan Qualifier, Seaking has earned a formidable reputation.

"I really regret not starting Dota earlier! If I played it earlier, I would have become a legendary player by now!" Seaking said.

Seaking also discusses some of the personal obstacles he's faced on the road to becoming a champion.

When I started playing Dota, I did have the ambition of becoming a professional player but my family was not supportive of the idea. I really wanted to achieve something in Dota to change people's opinions about this career path, to prove to them that it's not just about playing games.

Despite his success, Seaking understands the importance of working hard and staying focused.

We cannot allow the pursuit of fame to distract us from our game. At first I was nervous even when signing autographs, but I've learnt to take it in my stride. I realized that the players who do not care about fame perform better, because their focus is on improving their game.
